Wow! once again... I hope you were there for the "April Fools 'Ya" street team challenge.... I pity the fools that didn't make it, because you missed out on some outstanding teams putting forth their best to "destroy" the hangar! Of course we got a late start and ran out of time, but it was all worth going a little late to finish up the rounds....hehe... I'm sure all were pleased! Six teams competed against each other in 3 events, longest air, highest ollie and best team ride. The TOP SHOPS dominated the field....although when the dust settled, BDK Skate came through with the highest total of pts for the night to take 1st Place with 295 pts out of 300 pts possible and the $500; Defending champs, APB Boardshop held up their reputation with 280 pts for 2nd; Town & Country defended off the other skate teams for a solid 3rd with 270 pts; In4ormation followed things up in 4th with 255pts; Team Ron was close on their heels by taking 5th with 250 pts; Team Misfits, with an avg age of about 11 yrs old (better what out guys!) finished up the order with a respectable 225pts. All in all, it was pretty good fun, it was the second time that PASS threw a street team challenge...it's definitely a different format than most street contests.... sorta the "olympian" as someone put it that night for skateboarding. I wish there would have been time enough to run the SKATE, maybe I'll just have to add that one later in the year! . Thanks again to all the participating teams, shops, skaters and spectators........ congrats to the guys on BDK....the numbers don't lie.....keep enjoying the ride!
